I kind of skipped thru this...

I probably made this up and just lie to myself to feel better butttttttttttt...

Aren't sky scrapers in tight cities built in a way to collapse into themselves if, god forbid, something causes it to come down so it doesn't take down the buildings surrounding it?

I just figured that would be the wise thing to do if you're going to build a building that high and so close to other buildings.

And if they wanted to rebuild the towers, I don't think they'd take out a slew of people and all those little buildings around it. The government isn't that fucked. They'd rather take their time to tear it down and rebuild and suck out the tax payer's money. Like DUH.

If thermite (nano- or otherwise) was "strategically placed" throughout the building, wouldn't it have all collapsed at once as opposed to just falling apart as if it had just been hit by a plane? :P
